SYDNEY SNAPSHOT

Sydney has an eclectic group of suburbs within easy reach from the city centre.  Each offer their own unique take on suburbia.

KINGS CROSS/DARLINGHURST – Has always been renowned for its night life and diverse entertainment. It is the hub for the Gay and Lesbian community and has a vibe which is both fun and entertaining.

SURRY HILLS – well known for its bar and restaurant scene – offering edgy and funky designs, vintage furnishings and great food.  Avant-garde galleries will tease your senses and the boutiques will provide an alternate fashion mode.

PADDINGTON/WOOLLAHRAThe word “refined” comes to mind when wandering through the narrow streets lined with Victorian Terraces and beautiful trees.  Paddington and Woollahra both offer an array of designer boutiques, antique shops and art galleries – many displaying works from world renowned Australian artists.

BONDI – Bondi Beach is famous for its close proximity to the City – just jump on a bus!  There is always something happening at Bondi – surfing, skate boarding, picnicking in the park, casual dining – and not so casual, a coffee shop and wine bar scene that cater for all styles!  And definitely people watching.

NEWTOWN – If the bohemian way is more your style head to Newtown.  It has been described as offbeat with its fashion and vintage homewares and markets.  King Street, which is lined with restaurants offering foods from around the world.  Being close to Sydney University it has a large community of students giving it a young hip culture.

THE ROCKS – Discover Sydney’s history at the Rocks and Walsh Bay, by taking a Walking Tour.  The area has an amazing history and culture.  Set on Sydney Harbour with view of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge it offers 5 star restaurants, beer taverns and Irish Pubs.  There are art galleries, street markets, busking and so much more.

CITY OF SYDNEY – THIS IS THE CORE – THE HEARTBEAT FOR THE HISTORY, BUSINESS, SHOPPING, ENTERTAINMENT AND LIFE FOR THOSE WHO CHOOSE TO LIVE AND WORK HERE – TAKE THE TIME TO EXPLORE AND ENJOY!!

NORTH OF THE BRIDGE

Driving north from the city of Sydney you cross our iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and you are now on the lower North Shore – should you continue along the highway you can make your way through the leafy suburbs of the upper North Shore and onwards and upwards to Queensland!

The lower North Shore is a business hub and is made up of a number of delightful waterfront suburbs such as McMahon’s Point, Kirribilli and Mosman just to name a few, with magnificent homes with jaw dropping views of Sydney Harbour. Turning left off the bridge you can make your way down to North Sydney Pool, great restaurants and the famous Luna Park – guaranteed fun for the entire family.

Turning right off the Harbour Bridge you head towards the stylish suburbs of Cremorne and Mosman for great shopping and eating and then down to Balmoral or onto our very famous Taronga Zoo (also accessed by ferry).

Choosing to make your Luxe Experience on this side of the harbour you will be treated to views of the city, the opera house and the bridge.  Most of the harbour front suburbs are serviced by a ferries allowing easy access to the city or a pleasurable trip to other suburbs.

If planning a holiday in Sydney for summer, remember New Year’s Eve – we have some properties that will inspire you to see in the New Year in style – either from your balcony with a bird’s eye view, or dining alfresco on your harbour front lawn – sensational. This part of Sydney is a great place to have as your base – especially a lot of fun for the kids with Luna Park, Taronga Zoo, and fishing off jetties, an Olympic size swimming pool, and parks for a family cricket match and easy access to river parklands and our Northern Beaches.

Oh and you don’t just have to drive or walk across the bridge – be brave – walk over the top of the bridge!!

I should mention that that suburb of Kirribilli has a magnificent home, steeped in tradition called Kirribilli House – this is the Sydney residence of our Prime Minister – we are unable to offer you this home but we are sure we can come up with an excellent alternative.

BYRON BAY

In Byron Bay we have the luxurious and exclusive Julian Place and Marine Parade properties. These stunning properties have absolute beach frontage on one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches – Wategos at Byron Bay.  A short walk towards Byron Bay’s world renowned surfing beach, The Pass.  These resort-style homes are awash in luxury and sophistication, and have magnificent uninterrupted views.
