One of the most tightly held beachfront reserve locations in Sydney boasts one of Australia’s most striking houses. Winner of the coveted Robyn Boyd award in 2009, Australia’s highest residential architectural award, Freshwater House has been turning heads and has been widely published globally ever since. Architect Tony Chenchow, of Chenchow Little, conceived a design over three levels that would adapt according to the needs and desires of the occupants.
At the push of a button the upper levels change from intimate to awe-inspiring as the dark-bronze panels retract. Sliding glass doors invite the outdoor in on a full three sides of the property, while the elevated garden and pool create one of the most liveable environments imaginable. Garaging is cleverly concealed within the vertical timbers facade – opening on massive hinged automatic doors. A unique micro-climate extends from its near perfect North East aspect and makes the beach and ocean views all the more spectacular. This location and design cannot be reproduced.
